Hip Hippos is one of three wonderful new board books (2008) by Jane Yolen. Rythmic rhyming text and wonderful hippo art by Vlasta van Kampen will bring smiles to everyone. Also in this collection : One Hippo Hops, a whimsical counting book; and Sad Glad Mad hippos, in which hippos friends run the gamut of emotions in one day - just like real children!
